LOS ANGELES · MEXICO CITY

FIELD STUDY is an ongoing exploration of people, places, and the environments that shape them.

The series begins in two cities – Los Angeles and Mexico City. Connected by geography, culture, and generations of movement, each has its own distinct identity, energy, and rhythm.

Los Angeles is a city built against the landscape, but never completely separate from it. Mountains at the edge of the grid. Dry riverbeds, concrete channels, palms, bougainvillea, and sun-bleached pavement. A sprawling patchwork of neighborhoods, cultures, and everyday rituals.

Mexico City moves to a different rhythm. Streets layered with history. Markets, neighborhood storefronts, street vendors, and public squares. Ancient foundations beneath a constantly changing city. Color, texture, architecture, and daily life exist side by side, shaped by centuries of reinvention.

Both cities are defined by contrast. Old and new. Natural and constructed. Polished and unfinished. Their identities are found as much in ordinary moments as in the landmarks that make them recognizable.

FIELD STUDY NO. 01 – LOS ANGELES and NO. 02 – MEXICO CITY explore these cities through their people, landscapes, cultures, and the everyday details that give each place its character.
